Deconvolution of out-of-focus images

This is a difficult problem. The key to most MaxEnt applications is in understanding the transfer function, or point spread function (PSF), of the system. This ensures that the observed (albeit noisy) data are in fact a plausible outcome for the true, but unknown, source distribution. The example below is for a simple gaussian PSF of known width.
