Drug development: Pharmacokinetics

In drug development it is important to determine the proportion of an oral dose which reaches the bloodstream. By giving an intravenous dose on a separate occasion, MaxEnt can determine the rate at which the drug enters the blood from an oral dose.

MaxEnt also quantifies the uncertainty in this rate, and hence in the proportion of the dose available to the body.
